What is Firefox?
Firefox is a free internet browser like Internet Explorer but (in our opinion) a lot better. Firefox is free, quick to install, easy on your computer, and safe.
Why do I need it?
This website will look like it's supposed to if you use Firefox!
If you are using Internet Explorer to surf the web, a lot of websites don't look how they were designed and things can get a little "crazy". Internet Explorer has a lot of disputable "bugs" and we've found at ChurchForFamily that users tend to have a more pleasant browsing experience using Firefox.
Quotes from the official site:
The Safest Web Browser
"Simply put, your online security is our top priority. Firefox includes strict anti-phishing and anti-malware measures, plus easy ways to tell the good guys from the bad like our new one-click site ID info. And, thanks to our open source process we have thousands of security experts around the globe working around the clock to keep you (and your personal information) safe."
Here to Help
"In the end, it’s all about you being able to do what you need to do on the Web. And with features like built-in spell checking, session restore and full zoom, nobody makes it easier, helps you work better or saves you more time than Firefox."
Great Philosophy
"We’re motivated by our mission of promoting openness, innovation and opportunity on the web rather than business concerns like profits or the price of our stock (guess what: we don’t even have stock)."
"And as a non-profit, public benefit organization, we define success in terms of building communities and enriching people’s lives. We believe in the power and potential of the Internet and want to see it thrive for everyone, everywhere."
