why do you meet at a middle school and not a "real" church?
Great question. Aside from being a familiar, comfortable, and safe place to connect – meeting at a middle school is very economical for us. You see, by renting a school building, we have access to a multi-million dollar facility (rooms, sport fields and nice restrooms) for less than the cost of a small house payment.
Speaking of houses, over 2000 years ago, the first disciples of Jesus didn’t meet in big buildings, they actually met in each other’s homes (hey, that sounds a lot like our Growth Groups!). Besides , a church is people – not a building!
what kind of church are you?
This is a question we get a lot and we assume people are asking if we are Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Pentecostal or one of the myriad of other denominations out there. Though we are not “anti-denominations” (church groups have done some amazing things for our society), ChurchForFamily has chosen to remain non-denominational.
We are an independent, Bible centered church and prefer to focus on what the Bible teaches versus what a particular denomination preaches. More information here.
